It is TerraCycle's policy to only use customer information to process your order and to communicate with you about your order. If we come up with some cool new thing we have a specific reason to believe you'll really be interested in, we may contact you discreetly about it, but that's all we'll ever do otherwise. We understand you don't want a lot of emails and phone calls just because you ordered something. We figure that when you need something else, you'll let us know.

What personal information about customers does TerraCycle gather?

We receive and store information you enter on our web site or give us in other ways (phone orders, shop visits, etc.). We use the information that you provide for responding to your order requests, and communicating with you, our customer. We won't use it for anything else.

Does TerraCycle share the information it receives?

No. We do not share your personal information with any other business or third party, except for what's required to process credit card orders.

How secure is information sent when ordering?

We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you input. We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when sending your order confirmation. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing. We delete your online order record from the server as soon as it has been transferred into our internal accounting software.
